iGXP Manual

Here you will find the basic information on how to use iGXP

iGXP is an application that helps you to enter data on GXP3 using the iPhone or the iPod Touch.

Known issue:

Currently, you will not be able to export info from GXP3 to iGXP. We understand that this is a feature that most users will use and we are working on it. In the meantime, be aware that using the same Short Name and Course Name on iGXP and GXP3 will make your statistics work on GXP3.

iGXP consists of 3 lists: Players, Courses and Games.

Each item of each list could be exported to be sent by e-mail to yourself or to the e-mail address you define.

When you first open the application the lists are empty.

PLAYERS LIST

Here you create the Players to use in the Game List.

Only Players in this list will be available later, when you setup Games.

To create a Player:

  1. 1.Click the “+” sign on the top left corner of the screen.

  2. 2.After entering all info, click “Players List” to go back to Player List.

After creating a player, it will be available on Players List screen. If you select it, you go back to Player Detail View, where you can:

  1. 1.Edit Information

  2. 2.Call Player

  3. 3.Export Player (to Send by mail later)

COURSES LIST

Here you create the Courses to use in the Game List.

Only Courses in this list will be available later, when you setup Games.

To create a Course:

First understand this: a Course must have at least the Name, the Tee Name and one Hole. Otherwise, it will not be created.

  1. 1.Click the “+” sign on the top left corner of the screen.

  2. 2.After entering all details, click “Holes” to enter Holes information.

  3. 3.Click on each Hole to enter each Hole detail.

  4. 4.After entering Holes information, go back until you get to Course List again. This is very important.

Only when you go back to Course List, your Course is created.

After creating the Course, you will be able to select it and:

  1. 1.Edit information (including saving Hole Location)

  2. 2.Exporting Course (to send by mail later)

Hole Setup:

When setting up a Hole, you can enter PAR, LENGTH and HANDICAP

If you have an iPhone, you can also record the hole position to use later,

when playing.

Save Hole Location

You do this on location, when playing, on the green of each hole:

  1. 1.Go to the Hole Setup screen

(Course List -> Select Course -> Holes -> Select Hole)

  1. 2.Click Locate. The more you wait, the more accuracy you will get.*

  2. 3.Go back to Course List to make sure the information is saved.

Note: The saved hole location will not work for already created games, only for new games.

*This feature is battery demanding and accuracy depends of your carrier, location, signal, etc.

GAMES LIST

Once you created Players and Courses you will be able to create Games.

To create a Game:

Once your game is created, you have two options.

If you select the game, you will get the Score screen.

If you click the blue arrow, you will get the Results screen.

The Score Screen, obviously, is where you enter your performance, that will be reflected on the Results Screen where you can check scores and Export the game later (to send by e-mail).

Note: if you saved the position of the hole on Courses List, you will be able to calculate the distance to the hole on Score Screen clicking Distance Button.

Click Stop to save battery and stop distance calculation*.

*This feature is battery demanding and accuracy depends of your carrier, location, signal, etc.

SEND FILES

Finally you have the Send Files Screen.

Here, you define e-mails (coma separated)

to send your Exported files.

Refer to Players List, Course List and

Games List sections to learn how to

create an Export File for each section.

Once sent to your e-mail, you will

be able to load this file on GXP3.

If in a Game, your Player Short Name and your Course Name in iGXP are the same of existing Player Short Name and Course Name in GXP3, when you import this iGXP game in GXP3, your statistics will be calculated as if you had entered the Game in GXP3.

That’s it.

Hope you enjoy iGXP and GXP3.

We will continue to upgrade both applications. Thank you for your support.
